DO

When getting a ring size, best to do towards the end of the day when your fingers are naturally at their largest.

Remember how wide the ring band is — a wider band may fit tighter than one that's more narrow, so you could consider sizing up by an entire size from your usual ring measurements.

DO NOT

Do not measure your ring size when you have cold hands, as they will shorten by half a number.

Also avoid testing your finger size after you've eaten lots of salty foods or alcohol, they make fingers bloat.

Ring Size Tips

  • Wear the ring on your dominant hand, as is likely going to be a bit larger.
  • However, keep in mind the ring's design; wider bands will fit tighter. Size up at least a half size for chunky bands (>4mm) and also consider sizing down by the same amount with thin designs (<1.3 mm). Ring Sizes are in Millimeters not Inches
  • Just make sure you body temperature is normal because fingers can shrink when cold or expand with heat.
  • As finger size changes during the day depending on water ingested and food eaten, measure towards the middle or end of your normal daily cycle to achieve greater accuracy.
  • For most fingers, measure your knuckle and the base of where you will wear your ring. Go for a size in-between these measurements so you can slide it over your knuckle and stay put, but is not too loose or tight.
