A GUIDE TO DIFFERENT STONES

Lab Grown Diamond
Created in a laboratory under conditions that simulate natural diamond creation. The two main methods are High-Pressure, High-Temperature (HPHT), and Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD )s.
Appearance: Lab-grown diamonds possess the same visual characteristics as part of a Natural diamond. They can get inclusions and color just like mined diamonds.
10 on the Mohs scale - They have a hardness of 10/ real diamonds, which means you can wear them daily!
Cost: Generally 20-40 percent cheaper than typically mined since they can be easily produced.
Ethics and Environment — Although they are thought to be more ethical as well as environmentally friendly given that no environmental impact of diamond mining occurs.
Certification: Certified by gemological labs (e.g. GIA, IGI) and are laser-inscribed to declare genuine lab-grown origin.

Moissanite
Where It Comes From: Moissanite was initially found in a meteor site, but since its occurrence is almost as rare as losing your mind out of the blue; all moissanites are now synthetically obtained.
Look: Moissanite looks the same as Diamond but with more brilliance and fire ( optical properties). When it is under light, you may find something like the rainbow effect on the stone as well that can help identify diamonds from moissanite.
Surface Dimension: 9.25 Mohs means it is very strong, but just shy of being as hard as diamonds
Price: Costs are much lower than lab-grown diamonds as well as natural mined diamonds, making it a top preference for budget-friendly purchasers.
Moissanite (Ethics), Better for the Environment: Moissanite is a lab-grown stone, meaning no mining involved.
Certification: Moissanite stones are graded by color and clarity, but they do not go through the same certification process as diamonds.

Mined Diamond
Source: Naturally created miles below the Earth's surface over billions of years under high pressure and temperature. Volcanic eruptions brought to the surface.
Mined jewelry: Mined diamonds has always been appreciated for its natural appeal and exclusive originated imperfections. An individual persona is carried by every diamond because of the process in which it was naturally formed.
And due to a Mohs scale of 10,,, make for the hardest known material on Earth.
Price: Typically the priciest strategy given that it is just one of rarest and also have a whole lot even more physical mining costs as well.
Ethics and Environment: Mined diamonds come with huge environmental implications — from habitat destruction, water use and labor issues to name a few. It is true that projects such as the Kimberley Process attempts to certify rough diamonds.
Certification: The majority of diamonds mined are certified by respected bodies such as GIA, with clarity on the 4 Cs (Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat)
